Forth Bagley
Forth Bagley is the Principal of Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), the globally acclaimed architecture firm behind such one-of-a-kind developments as Tokyo’s Roppongi Hills, the Mandarin Oriental in Las Vegas and the renovations of London’s Unilever House and Paris’s Tour First, the tallest building in France, as well as the lead design architect responsible for transforming Victoria Dockside into the most vibrant cultural district in Hong Kong.
KPF’s design for the Rosewood Hong Kong is notable for its large stone piers that evoke the spirit of classic grand hotels, extra-wide panoramic glass insets with unobstructed views of Victoria Harbour and the tower’s stepped form, which changes depending on the viewer’s vantage point. For game-changing luxury residences K11 ARTUS, KPF have crafted a dynamic undulating exterior featuring curving balconies with a wavelike form that energises the entire district, while The Commune, a skybridge spanning across the urban window, provides an intriguing visual focal point. And for next-generation workspace K11 ATELIER, the firm have clad the exterior of the tower in Portuguese beige limestone piers accented with bronze-coloured trims to create a stately proportion of timeless elegance, while giant picture windows in each bay of the façade provide sweeping panoramas of the harbour and the Hong Kong Island skyline.

Keith Bradshaw
A leader in the field of lighting architecture, Speirs + Major have illuminated some of the world’s most iconic buildings, including the Millennium Dome and St Paul’s Cathedral in London. Led by Principal Keith Bradshaw, Speirs + Major is the creative force behind the spectacular Opera Theatre, K11 MUSEA’s grand atrium, presenting hundreds of meticulously positioned lights that evoke curiosity and creativity, resembling a galaxy or a mysterious body of stars. Upon closer inspection, the seemingly random lighting forms a spiral highlighting the “galaxy of creativity” within the space. Another masterpiece by the practice is the distinctive Butterfly Lighting that illuminates K11 MUSEA’s spectacular Visual Corridor, a 100-metre-long by 40-metre-wide thoroughfare that connects Salisbury Road to the Avenue of Stars waterfront promenade. Balancing out the intensity of the natural light outside during the day, the luminous ceiling lights radiate a subtle glow that enhances the feel and experience of the area while also providing an elegant decorative intervention between the panels of the feature ceiling. Speirs + Major is also responsible for the Firefly lighting in the Nature Discovery Park on 8F, which subtly illuminates the rooftop to create a magical experience in the dark. -

Walk in Hong Kong is the city’s leading cultural enterprise. We are known for our wonderful storytelling. We make what might otherwise be dry history lessons into memorable experiences, rooted in Hong Kong’s people and culture. Our walking tours are well loved by travellers, corporates, schools, families, and locals alike.
Our vision does not stop there. Despite our small scale, we are an influential advocate for heritage conservation and driving social changes. In 2016, our team successfully lobbied for a Grade 1 historic building status for State Theatre in North Point, helping preserve one of the city’s most important urban gems.
